Hear From Our Students:

Barren Ridge Physical Therapy in Fishersville is a great place to spend time as an intern to facilitate further learning in the PT field. Not only does it provide viable learning opportunities, but the staff’s enjoyable and lively demeanor creates a more supportive and comfortable environment. They have provided me with practical insights and welcomed any questions I may have on concepts that are not always learned in textbooks. This clinic has been a catalyst in further constructing my understanding of practical applications as I grow and learn more in my future profession. I would recommend Barren Ridge to students studying to be physical therapists as they have given me an exceptional experience during some of my time as an undergraduate at JMU.
-Paige J.

I worked part-time as a Physical Therapy Aide during my spring semester as a senior at James Madison University. Barren Ridge Physical Therapy was a great place to gain experience in this field as the entire team is so eager to help you learn in any way that they can. After my time here, I feel more prepared to attend Physical Therapy school as I have a greater understanding of patient care techniques, therapeutic modalities, and communication skills.
I really enjoyed how the Barren Ridge team focuses on creating a positive environment for the patients to heal in. It is clear that the Physical Therapists truly care about their patients and want to help them thrive throughout their rehabilitation. As an aide, it was so rewarding to witness the patient’s making progress in their healing journey. As a future Physical Therapist, I aspire to one day have a positive influence on patients much like the Barren Ridge team.
